To all members.

The Elders have voted to continue with the ban on the chord of ‘H’. Some of our younger members felt that this historical ban is an anachronism in the age of the internet but with the number of gigs and recording opportunities  ever reducing it is felt that the ban is still prudent for protecting employment for our members in the future.

Needless to say, anyone found flouting the ban will be ‘sanctioned’ as various members of Lynyrd Skynyrd,  found to their cost along with Richie Valens, Eddie Cochran, Brian Jones, Duane Allman, Paul Kossoff,  Stevie Ray Vaughan, Frank Zappa, Dimebag Darrell, Gary Moore and most notably Jimi Hendrix. The Elders now acknowledge that the action taken against the band was, in hindsight excessive, the intended target was only guitarist Steve Gaines, it was found that he was intending to release a track that contained the chord of H and the only recording of the track was on board with him at the time of the crash. It was felt at the time that there was a very limited window for action and the collateral damage was deemed acceptable, bearing in mind the repercussions of the chord being revealed to the public. The Elders would like to assure all the members that such an action will not be taken again and will seek to use other non lethal methods of persuasion to ensure the future employment of the members in the future.
